'Murder' of MP Anna: Pieces of meat found in the septic tank of that house

The police have reported finding pieces of flesh in the septic tank of the apartment complex in Kolkata where Bangladeshi Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anar is said to have been 'murdered'.  Dhaka's Police Commissioner Habibur Rahman told bdnews24.com on Tuesday evening that he has spoken with DB officials stationed in India about the matter.  "Some flesh has been found inside the septic tank of Sanjeeva Gardens. Whether it belongs to MP Anar or something else cannot be confirmed without a DNA test," he said. In an interview given to three Dhaka television stations, a gardener at Sanjeeva Gardens, Siddheshwar Mandal, said he saw a substantial amount of flesh being recovered from a manhole chamber, which could weigh between three to four kilograms.  Showing with two fingers, he described the pieces as small, in his words, 'pakora cut'. In an interview aired on Bangladesh's 71 TV, the gardener Siddheshwar Mandal said, "The person who was murdered was cut into small pieces and flushed down the toilet pan. That flesh went through the pipes and accumulated in the septic tank. The one who lifted those pieces is Bhushan Shikari, our own brother-in-law. He works in septic tank cleaning."  When asked, Siddheshwar Mandal said, "The amount of flesh retrieved could be three to four kilograms. They were in the water, not wrapped in any polythene. The pieces were small, minced to the size of pakoras."  He said, "I went to take pictures myself but was stopped. The flesh had turned white from being in the water. There wasn't much smell, but it was nauseating, so I left." Siddheshwar says that Sanjeeva Gardens has separate septic tanks for each building. The covers of each septic tank are located in the parking lot. The flesh was recovered by opening these covers.  According to Siddheshwar, "If it's not human flesh, where would all this flesh come from? They are also lifting it up. It must be the MP's flesh; otherwise, why would they lift it? The police are picking them up and laying them out." MP Anar's 'murder': Pieces of flesh found in the septic tank of that house.
