Two Iranian soldiers were killed in an Israeli strike in Syria.
Iran has been supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces for many years. Two members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) were killed in an Israeli attack in Syria.
The BBC reported that the news was published in Iran's state media citing the IRGC.
The IRGC announced the death of two of its soldiers, saying they were serving as "army advisers" in Syria. Iran has been supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces for many years. The country was also one of Bashar's biggest supporters and facilitators in the Syrian civil war.
Iran also sponsors Hamas, the armed group of Palestinians in Gaza fighting Israel. Western countries, including the United States, claim that Iran supports Lebanon's powerful organization Hezbollah.
After the start of the Hamas-Israeli war on October 7, Israel has exchanged attacks with Hezbollah on the Lebanese border several times.
